The Mark of a Genius

04 March, 2017

The Mark of a Genius
-------------------------------

Each one of us is a born Genius at birth, simply because we are a product of our Genes, our DNA ( Biological identity ) which bears an imprint of its infinite evolutionary memory.  However, soon after birth every child gets indoctrinated with Do's and Don'ts of so-called civilised society. As a result, a human infant gradually loses the innate gift of the intuitive freedom and infinite memory gifted by Nature.

Every scientifically inclined mind realises about the intuitive and infinite memory based on scientific DNA knowledge, whereas every truly philosophical mind has always realised it through introspective perceptions since times immemorial.

There is a vast gap between intellectually understanding and experientially realising, which is always an inner experience. It is called wisdom.

Wisdom bridges the immeasurable gap between the Earth and the boundless Skies. Wisdom is not a Book; instead it condenses within our conscious awareness  like a Dewdrop that condenses on the leaf or petal of a Lotus.

Every Lotus blooms and exudes life with the gentle rays of the rising Sun.

At sunset every Lotus withdraws its petals and rests. This is the sign and mark of a Genius.

The only faculty that masks the innate Genius of a human is the mighty Ego and its ignorance that blinds the rays of sunlight.

No words seem to have expressed on hampering of a Genius within each one of us more simply and audibly:
On Children and Life’s longing for itself “
Kahlil Gibran
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.
